UPP ‘Small Business Pull-Up’ Boosts Revenues and Community Pride

Gladys Potter will welcome “Small Business Pull-Up” to St. John’s Rural South

The ‘Small Business Pull-up’ will venture into the constituency of St. John’s Rural South, as part of the United Progressive Party’s (UPP) ongoing thrust to support the small business community. On Saturday 10th September, a convoy of supporters will gather at Maya’s Taste of Heaven on Camacho’s Avenue, at noon. The proprietor of this restaurant, UPP Candidate Gladys Potter, will welcome patrons to her small business — the first stop on the community tour.

The caravan will proceed through various communities including Ottos, Radio Range, Golden Grove and Nut Grove making stops to patronize small businesses and entrepreneurs.

“Many of our hard working small business owners are struggling in this economy and this activity will generate a boost in sales and some well needed exposure. When you support small businesses, you are putting money back into the local community and everyone benefits,” said Gladys Potter, UPP Candidate, small business owner and community organizer.

Since the “Small Business Pull-Up” was launched four weeks ago, it has generated significant business activity, new customers and publicity for many community small businesses. The initiative also provides an opportunity for the UPP team to engage vendors and patrons one-on-one, to share the Party’s plans and policies for small business growth and development.

To join the caravan along the route, or to get further information, please contact St. John’s Rural South Constituency Office at Tel: 784-0424 / 724-6364.
